I downloaded Gmail’s mobile application for my Blackberry yesterday. I think I like this email client better than the one bundled with the Blackberry. I haven’t gotten it to buzz when there is new email, but it is really a nice interface.
Makes me wonder what Google could do if they developed an operating system. What would that look like? Probably end up looking like Mac OS X. Nevermind…

Sometime early this year I asked my staff to write a few sentences about what they liked most about working at PRWeb. I had originally wanted to post these on our About Us page at PRWeb but things happened. I will post their responses here since I have have yet to incorporate them in our “About Us” page. My Favorite Thing About PRWeb

PRWeb is the first place I’ve worked at since graduating from Western Washington University. Throughout High School and College I worked a number of jobs that were much less desirable, including making sandwiches in the mall food court, cleaning out pens at a dog kennel and being a receptionist at a spa (believe it or not that job did have it downfalls). At all of my previous jobs, challenges would come up and I would always rise to the occasion, even so, I always felt like I was overworked and under appreciated. The difference between now and then is huge. I feel like the work that I do at PRWeb does matter and that I am appreciated for it.
But I digress; this is not about my old jobs but my favorite thing about PRWeb. PRWeb strives to be a pioneer in utilizing the most cutting-edge technology and provide the best quality service at an affordable cost for customers. What I like about PRWeb is that I am constantly learning from the company. Working at PRWeb is like continuing my education without paying the hefty tuitions. I do not have to worry about getting bored at work because there is always something new and exciting in the works. As PRWeb grows as a company I am learning and growing with it.

Now, before you hack me to pieces for poor English, let me explain.
Online PR adds weight. And the longer you wait between releases, the lower your online weight in the media, seach engines and overall web space.
I’ve been experimenting over the last 3 years with what I consider the optimum “cycle time” between releases. The data’s not all inclusive, but so far it’s providing a workable plan for:

First, this was fun. We will probably do this again. The idea was simple. We announced that we had released a bunch of enhancements (between 0 and 10) to the PRWeb site. Why not tap the blogging community and our user base to point out what these enhancements were? To sweeten things up a bit we offered $1,000 bounty to the first person to identify all 9 (yes there were 9 for those interested in the number). Read the press release.
We have one blogger that was successful in identifying all of the newer features that PRWeb added to its mix. The only problem we had with the experiment was our rapid development pace. We actually announced (or otherwise made available) other features after we announced the experiment. To be fair we only required bloggers to identify the new features as of the announcement date.
